Proxy settings in web session...

I had to set proxy in web browser to access application.

I have not found options in session profile props nor at iTest options.

Anyways?

Thanks.

Btw, as a workaround, I can install iTest at machine which lies in application subnet.

Re: Proxy settings in web session...

In 4.0, iTest has preferences for the web session to configure proxies. You may want to give that a try.

Re: Proxy settings in web session...

You can use web's "eval" step to execute any java script in the context of the browser. That means if you know the dojo javascript apis, you can do stuff which may not be capturable.

Re: Proxy settings in web session...

In newer versions of iTest you can configure the proxy for the browser using iTest preferences. They will not be in the session profile.

I believe the preferences are under iTest->Session Types->Web

Re: Proxy settings in web session...

We can set the proxy settings in the preferences-->iTest -->session types -->web-->Proxy Settings.

Please have a look on the attached screenshot.Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Note (as was mentioned earlier) that this is new in 4.0; there was a workaround for doing it before 4.0, but it should be much easier now.

Re: Proxy settings in web session...

These setting are for the iTest built in internal browser only. If you are using Internet Explorer as the browser for your web sessions, you would need to configure the proxy settings in IE itself. Chances are your proxy is already configured for IE because you would need to make it work independent of iTest
